MRI Scan Cost in Jersey — £295 Single-Joint Scans
Private MRI in Jersey should not mean a flight to Southampton or a £900 bill. At MRI Jersey, a single-joint scan is a fixed £295. No hidden extras. No referral required.
Our pricing
| Scan type | Price | Reporting | Turnaround |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single-joint MRI (knee) | £295 | Consultant radiologist report via TMC | 3–5 working days |

We scan one joint at a time. We do not offer full-body or spinal MRI — our equipment is a dedicated open extremity scanner, purpose-built for joints of the limbs.
What is included in £295
- The scan itself, performed by a qualified MRI radiographer
- A full diagnostic report by a consultant musculoskeletal radiologist via TMC
- Your images and report delivered digitally, normally within 3–5 working days
- Sharing of the report with your GP, physio, consultant or sports therapist on request
- No booking fee, no admin fee
How we compare
| Option | Approximate cost | Wait or travel |
|---|---|---|
| Jersey General Hospital (NHS, non-urgent) | Free | Often several weeks to months |
| Fly to a UK private MRI clinic | £450–£700 scan + £150–£300 travel | Same-week scan, full-day round trip from Jersey |
| MRI Jersey | £295 fixed | Usually within a few days, ten minutes from St Helier |
Once you have added a return flight from Jersey, an overnight stay and time off work, an off-island scan rarely comes in under £700. A scan in St Peter does.

Pricing FAQs
Is £295 really the total price?
Yes. £295 covers the scan, the consultant radiologist report, and delivery of your images. There are no add-on fees.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. We accept self-referral. You can also be referred by a physio, sports therapist, chiropractor, osteopath, GP or consultant.
Can I scan two joints in one visit?
Each joint is priced and reported separately at £295. You are welcome to book two appointments back-to-back if clinically appropriate.
Do you offer finance?
Not at this stage. The fixed £295 price is intended to keep the cost predictable and affordable without finance.
What if my insurer only covers part of the cost?
You pay any shortfall directly. We will provide an itemised receipt so you can reclaim what you can.
